The UGREEN CM219 converts a single USB-A port into four additional USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports. This allows you to connect multiple devices like flash drives, keyboards, mice, external hard drives, or card readers simultaneously without needing to swap them.
Each port supports data transfer rates of up to 5Gbps, compliant with the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard (formerly USB 3.0). This speed allows for the rapid movement of large files such as HD videos, photos, and documents. It's backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, albeit at lower transfer rates.
No drivers or software installations are necessary. It supports hot-swapping, meaning you can connect or disconnect devices without rebooting your system. This makes it ideal for everyday use in workspaces, home setups, or on the go.
The hub works with major operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS. It can connect to laptops, desktops, gaming consoles, and some USB OTG-compatible smartphones or tablets using an adapter (not included).
While the hub is bus-powered (drawing power from the connected host device), it is capable of handling multiple low-power devices simultaneously. However, it is not designed for charging high-draw devices like tablets or powering multiple external hard drives at once without external power support.
Built with a matte-finished ABS plastic shell, the CM219 is lightweight and highly portable. It fits easily into laptop bags and tech kits. The integrated USB cable is typically about 15cm long, offering flexibility while maintaining a neat desktop appearance.
Equipped with a built-in smart chip, the hub provides over-current, over-voltage, short circuit, and thermal protection. This ensures stable performance and safeguards connected devices and data integrity during transfers.
Ideal for:
Expanding USB ports on laptops with limited connectivity
Attaching peripherals like mice, keyboards, webcams, and USB drives
Quick file transfers between storage devices
Portable workstations or travel-friendly tech setups
